Nissan Thailand, in collaboration with the Raks Thai Foundation, a partner of Nissan in the Nissan Youth Leadership Development Program (YLD), presented an exhibition showcase of students’ achievements from the program. The representative students from 16 schools, 3 provinces: Rayong, Ayutthaya, and Samut Prakan in the YLD program joined the event where it took place at Pheraksamata Wittaya School, Rayong Province.
“In line with Nissan’s corporate purpose of driving innovation to enrich people’s lives, this program aims to provide Thai youth with leadership skills. Nissan is honor to part of the program by empowering them to unlock their full potential, equip with important life skills that help them make a better life. This program helps them prepare for the future. Through this program, we strive to make a positive impact on the lives of young individuals, enabling them to contribute meaningfully to society.” said Isao Sekiguchi, president of Nissan Thailand and ASEAN.
The showcase event serves as a platform for these young leaders to exhibit their remarkable achievements, demonstrating the program’s effectiveness in nurturing and developing the talents of Thai youth. Attendees will have the opportunity to witness firsthand the impressive projects and initiatives undertaken by other students from different schools and provinces. The projects range from glass carving, customized key chain, organic fertilizer, bakeries, snacks, etc. These projects have become student’s source of income that sustain their future activities.
Youth Leadership Development Program (YLD) is a cooperation program held by Nissan Care International Japan and Raks Thai Foundation, initiated in 2019. The program aims at promoting leadership and required vocational skills for entrepreneurs among targeted young students. The program has seen significant progress as the number of participating students reached over 2,000 students in 2022.
