BMW Thailand reinforces its role as a global golf supporter with the delivery of BMW vehicles – serving as Official Car – during the Thailand Classic organised by the DP World Tour. This official partnership is part of the global BMW Group sports engagement and a collaboration with the DP World Tour which has spanned more than 30 years and was recently extended to run for another five years.
As Official Partner and Official Car of the DP World Tour, BMW Thailand will provide a fleet of 15 vehicles – including the BMW 7 series, BMW X7, BMW X6, BMW X5, and BMW 5 Series – for use during the Thailand Classic, running from February 16-19 at the Amata Springs Country Club, Chonburi, , delivering the best-in-class automotive experience to golfers in the much-anticipated tournament.
In addition, BMW Thailand will present a BMW iX xDrive40 to the first player who makes a hole-in-one on the par three 13th hole during the tournament. The BMW iX is a renowned model that harnesses the latest innovations in the fields of electrification, automated driving, and connectivity to deliver a mobility experience that puts people more than ever at its heart and is the perfect match to a perfect golf shot.
This tournament marks the first time that a DP World Tour event has been held in Thailand since 2016. The tournament will be contested by 132 golfers. The DP World Tour is golf’s global Tour, with nearly 40 tournaments hosted in 25 countries across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Africa and Australasia. The collaboration between the BMW Group and the DP World Tour is recognized as one of the longest, most successful partnerships in international professional golf and BMW Group Thailand is excited to contribute and extend this partnership.
