Nissan Thailand paid a courtesy visit to Bangkok governor Chatchart Sittipunt at the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration office (BMA) on Friday (19/8). Isao Sekiguchi, president of Nissan Thailand, shared about Nissan and its vision on electrified mobility. Bringing electrified vehicles to Thailand is one of Nissan’s commitments, and collaboration with local governments and partners is key in achieving a cleaner and more resilient society. Nissan also shared about the Blue Switch program to promote the use of electric vehicles (EVs) for addressing society’s social issues.
The Blue Switch program, which was started in 2018 in Japan and expanded to Thailand in January 2022, promotes the unique capabilities of EVs like Nissan LEAF for purposes beyond mobility through partnership. With its bidirectional charging capability, the Nissan LEAF can help communities with energy sharing, disaster relief support by providing a source of energy, carbon reduction and ecotourism.
