The latest diesel variant of the original Sports Activity Vehicle has arrived with the refreshed BMW X5 xDrive30d M Sport. Long celebrated for its majestically assured driving dynamics and outstanding versatility, the updated X5 is taking power, efficiency, and confidence on the road to the next level with its cutting-edge additions.
Exterior
The new BMW X5 xDrive30d M Sport is more impressive and imposing than ever with the M Aerodynamics package, M High-Gloss Shadow Line, and M Roof Rails High-Gloss Shadow Line trims.
Interior and Infotainment
The interior, meanwhile, is generously spacious while also presenting a luxurious yet sporty ambience thanks to the M interior trim finishers in Aluminium Tetragon, M headliner in anthracite, and M Sport leather steering wheel. 4-zone automatic air conditioning, panorama glass roof, and Harman Kardon surround sound system make the new X5’s interior the place to be for the longest of journeys.
Performance
The new BMW X5 xDrive30d M Sport is bringing a 48-volt mild hybrid powertrain setup to the X5 for the very first time in Thailand. Now packing a 48-volt starter-generator capable of adding 8kW / 11 hp during starting and acceleration, the vehicle has also received remarkable upgrades to its engine. The 2,993cc BMW TwinPower Turbo straight-six diesel plant now produces 210 kW / 286 hp of peak power with max torque rising to 650 Nm at 1,500 – 2,500 rpm. A 0-100 km/h sprint can now be completed in 6.1 seconds, while top speed has received a slight bump up to 235 km/h.
In addition to improved performance, the new BMW X5 xDrive30d M Sport is making efficient, diesel-powered mobility even more eco-friendly with the use of AdBlue – a solution that reduces the amount of Nitrogen Oxide (NOx) released from the vehicle’s diesel engine. With AdBlue, NOx is chemically broken down and converted into nitrogen and water – both of which are harmless to the environment.
